SURFCAM Training Course Content
Classes are conducted at the DM Solutions Training Facility in Derry, NH. and run for 3 consecutive days, 8:30am – 4:30 pm.

If class enrollment(s) are cancelled with less than 2 working weeks notice from date of class, payment is non-refundable, and class credits will be forfeited.

Students are provided with desktop computers and training materials.

DM Solutions may need to consolidate class dates based on minimum enrollment requirements.

SURFCAM Standard

This course is designed for new users of SURFCAM.

Students will learn to produce CNC programs for up to 2 ½ Axis machine tools and also techniques for optimizing programming efficiency. Some of the topics covered are:
  • Creating 2D Geometry
  • Importing Data
  • Creating Toolpaths for Pockets, Profiles, Holes, Lettering, Facing, O-ring grooves.
  • File Management
  • Post Processing


SURFCAM Advanced

This course is designed for SURFCAM users who have pre-existing experience using SURFCAM. Students are expected to be able to create and machine geometry using the SURFCAM 2-Axis system.

Students will learn to create and modify 3D Spline/Surface geometry and produce 3D toolpaths. Some of the topics covered are:
  • 3D Spline and Surface Creation
  • Surface Editing
  • 3D Data Importation
  • 3-Axis Machining of surfaces
  • Roughing & Finishing techniques
  • Application Examples
